Did someone say glowstick party?

Things I have uncovered (that I had no idea I had) while starting to pack up my room now that finals are over:

1. A ton of glowsticks. 75 small glowsticks, 10 glow bracelets, 6 full sized glowsticks
2. Bubble blowing solution
3. 6 rubber ducks
4. An ant farm
5. Gauze
6. Thermal gloves
7. 3D glasses
8. 5 unopened tubes of superglue
9. A tube of trial sized toothpaste
10. A headphone jack extender
11. A button that says "SHINY!"
12. $25 in iTunes gift cards (already used that up)
13. Goggles
14. An eyeglass repair kit
15. Long strips of white fabric
16. 4 books of matches
17. A pack of candles
18. More AA batteries than I know what to do with

I hate packing when I need to pack, but when there's nothing else to do, it's pretty satisfying. In retrospect, I realize that I could read one of the books that I packed away, but not they're on the bottom of the pile in the living room closet. I have no idea how I amassed an entire box of books when I thought I was doing so well with my "Don't spend money on something you won't ever have time to read" as often rule. I can account for one box of books, but the other one just sort of cropped up after buying books from Riverby and The Wounded Bookstore and the library sale.

I've also noticed that my government job must be rubbing off on me, because I've gotten quite a lot of papers filed away not only for my job, but for everything else too. That'a another whole box. And every box is labeled with a sticky note to tell me what's in it so if I'm looking for something during the summer I can find it easily, or so I know I don't have to touch the box again until I move back in the fall.

I also realized that I have far more articles of clothing than I realized. Trash bags got marked with Winter Stuff, Warm Weather Stuff, Costume/Garb, and one other bag that is filled with even more bags of belts, shoes, socks, ties. And then my garment bags for my tux and all my work clothes.

Yeah, it's a bit sad having to start packing up my home for a few months, but I'm also looking forward to Dead Week. I missed Dead Week last year and am still kind of sorry I did for a variety of reasons. But this year I get to party it up with all of my favorite soon to be graduated people and use my influence to make sure that they come visit at least a few times next year.

Now, if you'll excuse me I... actually really don't have anything better to do. Ah, being done with finals is great.

I know there has to be something fun to do with all that superglue, I just can't think of it.
